Your private chef is hugely passionate about Greek flavours with an international twist and showing off local, artisan produce in the best way possible. Enjoy multiple course dinners, healthy, tasty lunches and light snacks after an afternoon of swimming or diving. On shore dinners ranging from simple, local tavernas to fine dining dinners complete your culinary adventure.

The wines of Greece are increasingly getting more and more recognition in the wine world. Whether you’re a complete novice or a wine lover, tastings can be adapted by your sommelier to suit everyone on the trip. You’ll get an insight into the most exciting wine makers, their stories and wines during tastings and dinners.

Christina worked as a Sommelier at Gordon Ramsey‘s 2 Michelin starred restaurant in London. She‘s now based in Switzerland where she‘s the head of buying and marketing for a well known wine distributor. She‘s also studying for her Master of Wine, the toughest wine exam in the world – there are just 409 Master of Wines. She believes wine should be fun and accompany good food, regardless of the price tag. Kathrin worked in renowned hotels like The Dolder Grand in Zurich and as Head Pastry chef at Waldhaus Flims, completing her résumé with experience in top hotels in New Zealand and the UK. Her passion is the world of food and sailing, she loves discovering local ingredients and producers. She believes in authentic, simple flavours executed to the highest level.

Sailing

2-4 hours per day. It all, of course, depends on the weather and your possible wish to sail longer.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Argostoli Port, Kefalonia Island

Welcome to Kefalonia! Step on your luxury yacht which will be your home for the next seven days. We’ll start the holidays off with a glass of Greek sparkling wine and delicious canapés prepared by your private chef. A fine wine and dine dinner at the five-star Hotel White Rock with the charismatic owner and head winemaker Petros from Gentilini winery awaits.

Day 2

Lixouri, Kefalonia Island

The adventure begins! We’re sailing towards Lixouri. An introduction to how to taste wine by your on-board sommelier Christina equips you with the tools needed to taste wine like a pro. Highlight of the day: A winery visit and tasting at the historical and biodynamic winery Sclavos.

Day 3

Poros, Kefalonia Island

We’re dropping anchor at Avithos beach, have a swim and enjoy an amazing lunch with sea views at one of the best Tavernas in Kefalonia. It belongs to Panos, who also owns Sarris winery. He’s a natural and biodynamic wine fanatic and his wines are truly special.

Sami, Kefalonia Island

After a hearty breakfast, we enjoy a short 45mins walk to Melissani Cave where the sun shines through the opening in the cave roof to illuminate the waters of the underground lake. A truly stunning natural phenomena.

Day 5

Kioni, Ithaca Island

Relaxing snorkelling at the bay of Filiatro οn Ithaca Island. Secluded anchorage at a private cove for snorkelling and stand up paddling. A lavish BBQ feast on a secluded beach as you watch the sun go down is the highlight of the day. You'll be loving your life...

Day 6

Cave Βay, Kefalonia Island

Because we are curious, creative people at of wine and salt, the idea of doing a tasting in an ancient cave came about. The cave was discovered by our skipper, and access is only possible by the sea. So join us for the world premiere of tasting wine in a rock cave!

Fiscardo Port, Kefalonia Island

We finish our trip at the Venetian village Fiskardo. The small fishing town is steeped in history and one of the most beautiful towns on Kefalonia Island. Get some last minute souvenirs, and we’ll eat the best "gyros" on the island.
