Terms & Conditions
The present document is the general form of a bilateral agreement between Salparo GmbH and the client.
The name of the client and the reference number of the bilaterally agreed offer shall be included.
A down payment of 30% of the total price is required to secure booking.
Full payment up to 60 days before departure is required. Delayed full payment is considered automatically as a cancellation by the client.
Payments are made by bank wire transfer.
Any special payment terms of the bilaterally agreed offer are applied.
Any additional costs, beyond the ones included in the agreed sailing trip package, such as extra activities, alimentation ashore and other personal expenses, are on the client’s charge.
Any alimentation expenses for any of the crew members, when ashore shall be covered by the client when accompanied by crew members.
A passenger list (with personal data such as name, passport number, date of birth, etc.) should be submitted prior to the trip. Passengers might be asked to present a valid ID or passport.
All passengers must fill out the respective form that Salparo GmbH will provide them with, at least 60 days prior to the departure date.
Insurance / Personal Liability
The client should take full responsibility for any medical ailments, physical limitations, or mental disabilities that will affect their ability to participate in the trip and any additive activities.
Salparo GmbH undertakes no direct legal or financial responsibility for any implication related to these issues.
Salparo GmbH takes full responsibility to cover the client against any damage to the chartered vessel.
In case of mutual agreement to postpone a trip, no cancellation fees are charged. Price changes may occur.
In the event of cancellation of the trip by the client, for any reason, the following cancellation policy will apply:
For cancellation announced 1 to 30 days prior to the departure, the total amount is due.
For cancellation announced 30 to 60 days prior to the departure, 50% of the total amount is due.
For cancellation announced 61 or more days prior to the departure, the down payment (30% of the total amount) is due.
In the event of cancellation of the trip by the Salparo GmbH, for any reason, the following cancellation policy will apply:
For cancellation 1 to 30 days prior to the departure, the total amount is refunded. The costs that the client has been charged for their transfer to the departure location are refunded only after the request by the client and within 10 days of the cancellation announcement. Respective legal receipts, invoices or reservation confirmations must be presented and the reservation dates of the transport must be at least 1 day before the cancellation announcement.
For cancellation announced 30 or more days prior to the departure, the total amount paid till that time is refunded.
In the event of cancellation of the trip due to force majeure – as determined by the Greek Laws – 50% of the total amount paid till that time is refunded.
Should the client not appear on the date of departure and until 16:00 (local time) of the following day, without previous notice, the agreement is considered as canceled by the client.
Changes or Delays
In the event of reduced duration of the trip, in terms of a whole day(s) (a whole day is considered a time interval of more than 6 hours of daylight) or termination of the trip, due to physical limitations of any of the crew members or due to technical issues and damages of the vessel, each whole day reduced is refunded proportionally to the total days of the trip.
The same applies in case of a reduced duration of the trip due to any other corporate reason of Salparo GmbH.
Salparo GmbH, if considered necessary (mainly for safety reasons), has the right to replace the vessel.
Salparo GmbH, if considered necessary, has the right to replace the specific skipper – as he/she is set by the agreed sailing trip package – by another one that fulfills the criteria that Salparo GmbH requires for its clients.
Taking into consideration the uncertainty caused to our clients by the COVID-19 situation, we have adjusted accordingly our Terms and Conditions.
As of March 25, 2020, and until further notice the following applies over the general “Payments” and “Cancellation Policy” terms and conditions:
For all current and future bookings, the full payment is required up to 15 days prior to the departure date.
In case that the client is unable to reach the base of their charter or to return to their country of residence due to restrictions set by the authorities of their country of residence or Greece, announced prior the departure date, the following policies apply:
For all bookings dating until 25/03/2020, a free of charge rescheduling of the trip is possible for a later date in 2020 or in 2021.
For future bookings dating from 26/03/2020 onwards, we offer our clients two options:
i. A refund of the total amount, for every booking of the trips ending until 15 August 2020.
ii. A free of charge rescheduling of the trip for a later date in 2020 or in 2021.
A refund of the total amount can be requested up to 48 hours prior to departure.
The duration of the rescheduled trip can be the same or longer than the initially booked trip.
Any price difference will apply both ways.
Should weather not permit departure, as this is subject to the skipper’s judgment, no refunds are subjected for any delays or plan changes.
All information is given by Salparo GmbH in good faith. However, Salparo GmbH does not have any responsibility for any information given by third parties (yacht managers, travel agencies, etc.). The yachts, yachts’ equipment, equipment of additional services and crew members presented with videos and pictures displayed on the official website of Salparo GmbH may vary from those of the agreed offer.
All payments and refunds do not contain any interest.
